Abdominoplasty

INTRODUCTION
Abdominoplasty is a complicated plastic surgery, with the help of which the removal of the excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen is possible. At the same time doctors can solve the defects of the abdominal wall by strengthening and sewing of the abdominal muscles. In case of  abdominoplasty, if performed by an experienced doctor esthetician, the results are good. This operation helps in removing the fat on the lower abdomen.
Which patients are eligible for Abdominoplasty?
Abdominoplasty is addressed to both men and women, which are accompanied by the excess skin or fat storage that can not be removed by diet or exercise. SURGERY - Abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia. It takes between 2 and 5 hours, depending on the complexity of the operation. Typically, such an intervention consists of removing all subombilical skin with the fat layer.

RECOVERY postoperative
After discharge, the threads will be removed within 12 days since the surgery. The patient will wear girdle (Marena) for at least 2 weeks after removal of threads. Some people return to work after 2 weeks, while others need 3-4 weeks of rest and recover. The scars turn red and swell in 6 months period, and after 9 months - 1 year they flatten and open to color. It is advisable to avoid sun exposure for 1 year after surgery, in order to avoid pigmentation. Also Prosil cream should be applied.
